Long nails make it nearly impossible to remove contact lenses in the approach that most eye physicians teach. Happily, with any little exercise, you can conform the classic "suggestion of the finger" shift to the side about your finger plus remove your lenses without scratching your eyes or clipping your long nails.

Soap Water Mirror Lint-free towel

1 Wash your hands thoroughly. While it yous usually worthwhile to remove contacts with clean hands, it is even added important to clean under lengthy nails. Long fingernails may harbor dirt and bacteria that can cause eye infections.

2 Dry your hands on the lint free of charge towel. Make sure they are completely dry as removing contacts with long nails remains a tiny harder (at first) besides removing them commonly. Make sure there are no threads from the towel stuck to your nails.

4 Sweep the side regarding your tip finger across your vision softly to remove the contact. Generally, you are instructed to use the tip of the thumb and the tip of the pointer finger to lift the contact outside. However, your extended nails prevent this. Instead, sweep the part of the pointer gently across the eye hence that the contact remains forced to bow against the within of your thumb. Your thumb should be positioned so that the inside faces the bridge of your nose very gently rests against the surface of the eye. The sweeping motion of your pointer finger will cause the contact to lift off your vision.

5 Pull the contact away out of your eye. By this point, your contact will be bent between the pointer finger and thumb of your dominant hand. You can now have it away, place it inside a cleaning solution or rinse it off as you wish.
