? is a free encryption program that allows you to disguise the contents of a file or entire storage device as random data. ? only reveals the encrypted files when you provide your master password. File encryption is very beneficial for small storage devices such seeing that USB flash drives, which are very susceptible to theft. After you encrypt your flash drive with ?, the burglary of some flash drive will not result on information loss because the thief will be unable to read the drive's contents.

Things You'll Need

USB Flash drive Latest stable version of ?

2 Insert the USB flash drive. Proceed its contents to a folder on your tough drive temporarily; ? does never automatically encrypt existing files on the flash drive.

3 Double-click the ? icon on the desktop to launch the utility.

4 Click the "Create Amount" button. A window titled "TrueCrypt Volume Creation Magician" appears.

5 Select the "Create any encrypted file container" radio button, plus then click "Next."

6 Pick the "Common ? Volume" radio button, and subsequently click "Subsequent."

7 Click the "Select File" key. Navigate to your USB flash drive. Type a file title such as "Encrypted Volume," and then click the "Conserve" button. Click "Next."

8 Click the drop-down menu under "Encryption Algorithm," and select the algorithm that is you would like to utilize to encrypt your files. ? operates the AES algorithm by default. Click "Next."

9 Type a quantity in the "Volume Size" field, and then click a radio button such as "GB" to indicate the period about space on the flash drive that you would like to commit to the encrypted volume. Click "Next."

10 Type and re-type the key that you would prefer to use when accessing the encrypted volume. Click "Next."

12 Click "Ok" also "Next" to return to the main ? window when the encryption process yous finished.

13 Click the "Select File" button. Locate the encrypted amount that is you created on your flash drive, and double-click it.

14 Click a letter at the best of the ? window to indicate the drive letter that is you would like to assign to the encrypted volume, and subsequently click the "Mount" button at the bottom of the window.

15 Type your password to the encrypted volume and press "Get into."

Tips & Warnings

Hopefully, I made the steps to create one encrypted drive easy.
